Te Āhuru Mōwai

Te Āhuru Mōwai is the name given to our logo created by Lamon Paranihi-Haami in the hope that the collaboration happening within Te Puna Hapori will change the narrative of whānau being afraid of the “system”.

“Many whānau haven’t had the best experiences”, says Lamon, of Te Atihaunui-a-Paparangi and Ngāti Tuwharetua. “Te Āhuru Mōwai is a challenge to everyone involved to make sure this puna is a safe haven for whānau, and that they start to have better experiences from here on out.”

Everything from the patterns to the colours have a deliberate purpose and intention, all coming back to whānau and ensuring they remain the focus and reason for our kaupapa.
